Please carefully read this Privacy Policy before downloading the CANitude mobile application, available on Google Play and Apple App Store (the “Mobile App”), or accessing the website located at www.CANitude.com (the “Website”).

The Website and the Mobile App are collectively referred to as the “Platform”. All software features, functionality, materials, and services provided through the Platform are referred to as the “Service(s)”.

The Platform is controlled by CANitude LLC (the “Company”, “CANitude”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a limited liability company formed and operating in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data, and outlines your rights regarding that data.

We process personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to:

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies only to individuals who use the Services or subscribe to our mailing list.


2. Definitions

Booking
A session reserved by a Learner with an Expert through the Platform.

Learner
An individual registered as a Learner who searches for or makes a Booking.

CANitude Credits
Credits required to book a Session on the Platform. All credits are in USD.

Data Controller / Personal Data / Processing
As defined under Article 4 of the EU GDPR.

Data Subject
A natural person whose personal data is processed by the Company.

Expert
A user registered as an Expert who provides Expert Services.

Expert Services
Professional services offered by Experts through the Platform.

Expert Service Fee
The fee set by an Expert for services (hourly, 30-minute, or 15-minute sessions).

Listing
Any Expert Service offered on the Platform.

Parties
The Expert and the Learner once a Booking is made.

Platform Fees
Fees payable by Experts to the Company for completed Sessions.

Session
The scheduled time during which Expert Services are provided.

Session Fee
The total amount payable by a Learner for a Session.

User
An account holder on the Platform.

User Content
As defined in the CANitude Terms and Conditions.

4. What Personal Data Do We Collect?

Depending on whether you are a Learner or an Expert, we may collect:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Billing address
  • Country of residence
  • Profile information (photos, bio, audio/video content)
  • Transaction data
  • Tax Identification Number (if applicable)
  • Ratings and reviews
  • Survey and promotion responses
  • Log data (IP address, browser type, visit time)
  • Device data (device model, OS, identifiers)

5. How We Collect and Use Personal Data

We collect data through:

  • Information you voluntarily provide
  • Automatically collected usage data
  • Third-party service providers

We only process personal data when a legal basis exists, such as:

  • Consent
  • Contractual necessity
  • Legitimate interest

Refusal to provide required data may limit our ability to provide Services.


Account Registration Data

Collected during account sign-up and used to:

  • Verify age eligibility

Includes listings, reviews, and uploaded content.

Usage & Technical Data

Automatically collected to:

  • Improve platform performance
  • Enhance Services
  • Prevent unauthorized activity

6. Disclosure of Personal Data
